Goodbye 2013

I'm really excited to see what 2014 has in store for me.

Hopefully, there would be some good news for me to share. :)

Dear 2013, thank you for all the life lessons.

Journal

2013 is almost coming to an end.

So much has happened this year..both bitter and sweet.

Anyway, I have realized the importance of keeping a journal, taking pictures and just simply making memories.

It's funny, because at that moment, you might think little of it or some people might even find it silly for others to take pictures of every single event in their lives, such as small gatherings or just a simple family dinner. Some might even find it a nuisance to even attend such gatherings.

The thing is, once the day passes, it becomes just a memory.

And if you don't participate, then how are you going to make memories? I mean, if you look back, there won't be much things for you to be smiling about.

I'm glad I took part and kept track of what I did these past years. I'm glad I took random pictures of random things of random events. At the end of the day, at least I can look back at all the wonderful memories I made with my loved ones.

Countdown

Everything just feels so surreal. After 7 years of courtship, our engagement date has been set and it was set 3 weeks ago, somewhat a few days before Hari Raya.

CAN YOU IMAGINE THE RUSH?! Planning an engagement in 3 weeks?! The full 3 weeks I was on an emotional roller coaster ride; AND while juggling my assignments on top of that! (I'm having my mid-break now. Yay!!) We had to wait for the caterer, dress designer, etc. to come back from their kampung. It was quite nerve-wrecking, because I was worried if we couldn't get everything done in time.

Alhamdulillah. Now that the 3 weeks have gone by, most of the preparations are already sorted out i.e. dress, make-up, hair, hantaran, catering, etc. What's left now is to decorate the house and clean my bedroom (God, why am I such a messy person??) and the engagement day!

Some friends questioned, why I didn't seem excited. Well, I do feel very excited. Very excited, till the point that I'm so excited that I don't know how to convey my excitement. That's how excited I am! 

Can't wait to get all dolled up in a few days. ♥
